WHAT IS THE ENDOCANNABINOID SYSTEM?

Jul 27, 2018
The endocannabinoid system is a group of cannabinoid receptors, enzymes and endocannabinoins located in the brain, connective tissue,  glands and throughout the nervous system. Cannabidiol (CBD) is one of over 60 structurally related hemp plant-derived compounds that indirectly stimulate or interact with naturally occurring cannabinoid receptors on cells that mediate cell communication. CBD and unlike its psychoactive counterpart THC, CBD elicits no euphoric or “high” sensation. See our article for more on the endocannabinoid system.
